Jake’s Corner just finished a one week run at the beautiful Downtown Independent Theatre in Los Angeles. http://www.downtownindependent.com/ On hand at the Showcase Feature Screening last Friday night were Writer/Director Jeff Santo, Producers Hollywood Heard and Tim Comstock, Richard Tyson (Johnny Dunn), Sanel Budimlic (Dado) and David Della Rocco (Wheels). Richard has had several feature film roles over the last year including Once Fallen with Ed Harris and Amy Madigan. Sanel was in Los Angeles because he just wrapped on his second movie called Middle Men starring James Caan, Luke Wilson and Giavonni Ribisi and directed by George Gallo who wrote Midnight Run and Bad Boys. After Gallo saw the excellent performance Sanel gave in Jake’s Corner he greatly expanded Sanel’s role in Middle Men. Also David Della Rocco just got back from Toronto where he had a role in the Boondocks Saints sequel directed by Troy Duffy. Happy Holidays to everyone out there and we’ll be back with new information regarding Jake’s Corner in 2009!

Hi Friends !
Operation “Jake’s Corner” is under way. Today July 11th, is the day that we launch an all out effort to fill every seat for the theatrical release of Jake’s Corner on September 5th. Jake’s Corner Posters are up in all Harkins Theaters. In fact at the Harkins on Bell Road we are next to the $100 million Mummy poster (see image below!). If you are at a Harkins and don’t see a Jake’s Corner poster let us know.
We have hired a public relations firm, Off Madison, to run our Arizona publicity and Marketing campaign. We have secured Screenvision ads that will begin running in all theaters that Jake’s Corner will be showing on August 1st. We have begun work putting our movie trailer in film form for the Harkins Theaters (see the new trailer on our website, our myspace video channel, or our youtube channel). The soundtrack is nearing completion. Tim and I will meet with Steve Dorff on the 21st of July to get his thoughts and to begin mastering.
We are also looking for companies that would be interested in a Jake’s Corner Sponsorship. Sponsorships are $15,000 and provide the sponsoring business the following. The sponsoring company will have their company logo placed on all Jake’s Corner advertising to include the beginning of the film’s trailer which will be shown in Harkins theaters, the screenvision ads which will reach over 800,000 consumers, all newspaper, TV, and radio advertising, as well as the DVD box and beginning of the movie on the DVD. The actual value of this sponsorship is estimated to be in excess of $150,000 of advertising and more than 1,500,000 impressions.
On a final note, this next six weeks is vital for the theatrical success of Jake’s Corner. Please email us and let us know if you have any thoughts or ideas of how to get the word out to the most people possible. We thank you for the continued support of Jake’s Corner, and look forward to seeing you at the theater in September!!

Hey All,
We got some great news today… Jake’s Corner has been selected to open the Sacramento Film & Music Festival on Friday Night August 8 and will show at 9pm. Each year the festival is held at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento. Tony Sheppard, Director of the Festival, said that Jake’s Corner is one of the best films ever been submitted in his five years with the Festival. The most prestigious time slot at any festival is opening night so, needless to say, we are very pleased.
We would welcome any Jake’s Corner friends who happen to find themselves in Northern California to attend. It promises to be a great night!
Friday night the 6th of June at the Universal City Hilton Ballroom, Feed the Children held the 2008 Hero Awards. The awards honored people that had been heroes either through sacrfice, risking thier lives, or doing something so unselfish that it affected many many people. BJ Thomas was one of the performers selected to sing.
After singing a medley of “I Just Can’t Help Believing”, “Hooked on a Feeling”, and “Raindrops Keep Fallin on my Head”. BJ sang for the first time to a live audience “When the Hero Dies”, from the soon to be released soundtrack of Jake’s Corner. People loved it!!!!!
On Saturday May 31st, Jake’s had an incredibly well received private screening in Sacramento. Our Sacramento investors group and over 200 of their friends and family attended a screening set up by Jake’s Corner Producer and Sacramento native Tim Comstock! The film was so well received that the Q&A afterwards lasted over an hour. Each time we show Jake’s Corner to a different group of people the response is the same. What a fantastic movie!
As I have said before We all know that we have an incredible movie in Jake’s Corner but it will only be successful if we get the word out and we have fantastic attendance for our Arizona showings at Harkins Theaters. Thanks again to all of you that have supported Jake’s and continue to do so!!

With the upcoming release in Arizona of Jake’s Corner we want to get the word out to as many people as possible. We want Arizona to be the catapult that sends Jake’s Corner to theaters all over the U.S. So we have to fill those theaters when Jake’s opens. We will update all of you when we get theatres and showtimes. Just a reminder, Jake’s will be opening in Harkins on September 5th.
Thanks,
